Project Terms
SCOPE OF WORK
- All surfaces will receive preparation prior to painting as needed
- All work performed within the agreed upon areas and surfaces only
- Door painting includes one side only unless both sides are explicitly listed
- Any additional areas or surfaces not listed are subject to additional charges
COLOR SELECTION
- Customer is fully responsible for selecting and providing all colors prior to project start
- Colors must be confirmed before work begins — delays in color selection may affect the project schedule
- We are happy to suggest colors, but final decisions rest entirely with the customer
- If colors are disliked after application, repainting is available at an additional charge
- HK Painting is not responsible for colors that don't appear as expected once applied
- Paint brand and product are selected entirely at our discretion
- By accepting this quote, you accept full responsibility for your color choices
PAINT & MATERIALS
- All paint and materials supplied by contractor unless otherwise stated
- Customer-supplied paint is not covered under warranty
- Sheen and color selections to be confirmed prior to start date
PROJECT EXPECTATIONS
- Minor imperfections in surfaces may remain visible after painting
- Contractor is not responsible for pre-existing conditions including cracks, moisture damage, or settling
- Touch-ups are included within the original scope only and must be requested within 30 days of completion
PROJECT PAYMENT
- 10% due at start, remaining balance due at completion
- Accepted: Cash, Check, or Credit Card (3.5% fee applies)
- Warranty activates upon payment in full
2-YEAR LABOR WARRANTY
- Covers peeling or blistering within original scope of work
- Does not cover horizontal surfaces, moisture/rust damage, customer-supplied paint, mildew, color matching, or pre-existing conditions
- Unforeseen repairs are additional unless otherwise stated

INCLUDED:
- All surfaces will be sanded, patched, caulked, and spot primed as needed prior to painting
- Loose or peeling paint will be scraped and surfaces cleaned of dust and grease
- All adjacent surfaces masked and taped, floors and furniture protected with drop cloths and plastic sheeting
- Large furniture moved by our team, customer responsible for removing all small items and personal belongings prior to start date
- Outlet covers, switch plates, door hardware, and hinges removed and reinstalled
- Major drywall repairs not included unless explicitly listed in the scope of work

Terms and Conditions
We propose hereby to furnish material and labor - complete in accordance with above specifications.
All material is guaranteed to be as specified. All work to be completed in a substantial workmanlike manner according to the specifications submitted, per standard practices. Any alteration or deviation from above specifications involving extra costs will be executed only upon written orders, and will become an extra charge over and above the estimate. If either party commences legal action to enforce its rights pursuant to this agreement, the prevailing party in said legal action shall be entitled to recover its reasonable attorney’s fees and costs of litigation relating to said legal action, as determined by a court of competent jurisdiction. Client has a (3) day right to cancel without loss of deposit.
